Scholarship Fund

The A.J. Cohen Memorial Scholarship Fund was established at The Summit Country Day School following A.J.’s untimely death in 2000.  To initiate a full scholarship in A.J.'s name, fundraising efforts need to reach $250,000.00.  Through the support of sponsorships and private donations, A.J. Cohen Memorial, Inc. has raised more than $125,000.00 toward this scholarship.  Although the goal of A.J. Cohen Memorial, Inc. is to initiate a full scholarship, the $125,000.00 raised has been allocated toward a three partial scholarships.

The goal of the scholarship is to find an individual who:

  • shares the same spirit A.J. possessed;
  • puts other people ahead of him or herself;
  • is active in the community; and
  • at the end of the day, puts a smile on your face.
